Compared to the later models of the 5000 series last year, Philips has used panels of higher quality in my opinion, that is the production of LG IPS panels (though not stated), in addition to traditional measures 42, 32, 47 and the new 50 ", which compared to the panels previously adopted on the old 5007 series (40" and 46 "), have the advantage of having a much wider angle of view and a better color saturation.
Great video processor (Pixel Plus HD, 300 Hz), which makes it very smooth and natural motion pictures.
Adjusting it in Cinema mode you get a good balance of colors, neutralizing the annoying predominant blue is typical of an LED TV.
Also very good sound quality thanks to the little built-in subwoofer, which makes the audio performance much more substantial.
Aesthetically it repeats the old 6007 series with an innovative base in brushed aluminum, very elegant.
The only sore point is the perpendicular position of some inputs (antenna, power and scart) that make it difficult to install on a wall, as if the bracket is very tight to the wall, these connections go a little 'out the TV.
Included, in addition to the classic black plastic remote control, two pairs of passive glasses for 3D viewing (even simulated).
